Member of a team of researchers oriented on fundamental and applied science, that are focused on glycosylation of CA125 antigen, its expression, microheterogeneity, interactions and biosignaling properties of CA125-associated glycans in health and disease. Previous research was focused on bioinformatic and glycobiochemical analysis of the human CA125 antigen modular organization. Current and future research represents further efforts in characterization of mucin molecules found on or associated with microvesicles from seminal plasma (prostasomes) and amniotic fluid (exosomes), as well as their potential role as ligands in protein-protein and protein-carbohydrate interactions with endogenous receptors of immune system.
